| More Than A Woman: Synopsis | ||
Story by Jem Jender Described as a cross between The Birdcage meets After Hours, MORE THAN A WOMAN is the story of Theodore Lodge III, New York society’s heir apparent, a handsome, rich, trust fund baby who always lands on his feet - or did. His adventures begin when he rather reluctantly attends the wedding of his recent ex-fiance. A very upper East Side affair at the rather blue blood Waldorf Astoria. After tossing back one too many champagne cocktails, Teddy crosses paths with K.K. Summerset, a beguiling young woman who provides him with an intriguing escape from his tight gripped family, and the future they've carefully planned for him. Following K.K.’s lead as "tour guide" on a ten hour trip through the Technicolor world of New York City’s downtown night life, Teddy awakes the next morning with not only a raging hang over - but a wife. K.K. Summerset’s the blushing bride, and it turns out she’s intriguing in more ways than one, for she is sometimes a he. This is only the jumping off point for this quick witted, lightening paced, screwball comedy based on the traditional "boy meets girl" scenario. • Will the tabloid papers make them the front page scandal couple of the year? • Will Teddy’s disapproving family regain their grip on him by dissolving the marriage and ruining a seemingly quick, but deeply bonded kinship? • Can a downtown princess like K.K. find her uptown prince and live happily ever after - in midtown? These and many other questions will be revealed and resolved in this classically, farcical tale that will delight even the hardest of hearts, and open even the most closed mind. Something magical for everyone can be found in "More Than A Woman". |
